Spontaneous – I Don’t Think It Means What You Think It Means

Days like today make me feel like this site should be inebriated conversations with my wife.

We took in an orphaned Pomeranian. Her owner died and she was passed off two or three times and we decided to take her so she didn’t continue to be shuttled around from home to home. The following conversation took place (yes, Cheryl was inebriated).

Cheryl: She’s a little yappy.

Me: how’s that different from our other three yappy dogs.

Cheryl: At least they have something to bark at when they spontaneously start barking.

Me: Honey spontaneous in this situation literally means without without provocation.

Cheryl: Oh god, this is going to be a conversation with my wife, isn’t it.
